A new hydrogen-powered train is set to hit markets in 2023, with demonstrations scheduled to start just next year.
Passenger train manufacturer Talgo is behind the innovation, and today (Oct 12), the company inked a brand-new deal which will see Ballard Power Systems for eight 70-kilowatt FCmoveTM-HD fuel cell modules.
With Ballard’s fuel cell innovations already set to power a number of other hydrogen trains, including Scotland’s first hydrogen-powered train that will be unveiled next month at COP26, Talgo is confident with its supplier choice.
