Spanish train manufacturer Talgo yesterday (19th Nov) said its hydrogen-powered train will be ready in 2023.

The system is complemented with batteries that increase the acceleration available in the starts, taking advantage of the braking of the train to recharge.
On-track hydrogen technology validation tests will be carried out in a first phase in 2021.
