Tell me about Hiringa Energy’s plans for the hydrogen refuelling sector…
Via our subsidiary Hiringa Refuelling New Zealand (HRNZ) we are building a nationwide refuelling network for heavy road transport. The first three stations have completed installation and have been dispensing since the end of March.
Our plan is to increase on-site production at the existing sites and expand the geographic footprint to ensure all heavy freight routes are covered. The first four sites cover over 95% of the heavy freight routes on New Zealand’s North Island. Parent company Hiringa Energy is also developing renewable hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives, with a focus on servicing heavy transport (road, marine, aviation) and industry.
