SunHydrogen claims 9% efficiency for solar-to-hydrogen module

SunHydrogen’s 1200cm2 hydrogen module has reportedly achieved a 9% solar-to-hydrogen efficiency, which it says is the highest efficiency for a hydrogen module of this size.

Tests at the University of Tokyo in Japan showed that SunHydrogen successfully scaled up its technology while maintaining an efficiency close to the 10% previously achieved with its smaller 100cm² modules.

The US-based company has said the modules remained stable across a temperature range of 5°C to 40°C.
