German electrolyser manufacturer Sunfire has secured a contract to supply a 100MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser to a European refinery.
The purchase order includes 10 Sunfire modules, each with 10MW of capacity, as well as power supply units. The company has also said it will be responsible for supervising the subsequent installation and commissioning the system.
Planned to go into operation in early 2026, Sunfire’s CEO, Nils Aldag, has said, “Now we are ready to deliver on large-scale projects.”
