Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo Corporation is supporting UK Oil & Gas’ (UKOG) planned underground hydrogen storage projects in Dorset and Yorkshire.
UKOG today (May 29) announced it received a letter of support (LOS) from Sumitomo subsidiary Summit Energy Evolution Ltd (SEEL), committing itself to work on the oil and gas firm’s underground storage projects.
In 2022, UKOG subsidiary UK Energy Storage (UKEn) revealed plans to develop hydrogen-ready gas storage and future hydrogen production capacity at former Royal Navy sites in Dorset.
