Aker Horizons has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Statkraft to ramp up the hydrogen economy.
Under the agreement, Aker Horizons has secured a significant amount of renewable power to be utilised in its large-scale green ammonia plant under development in Narvik, Norway.
The PPA will cover the Narvik plants first 10 years of operation from its commencement expected in 2028. It has a planned capacity of up to 600MW, making it one of the first large-scale green ammonia production facilities in Europe, producing between 1,000 and 1,500 tonnes per day.
