Statera Energy has announced plans for the development of a 3GW electrolyser project in Kintore, Scotland.
The project will use surplus Scottish wind for electrolysis to create green hydrogen for Statera’s power generating facilities and the UK’s most carbon intensive industrial clusters through existing gas transmission pipelines.
The company revealed plans for the green hydrogen project in Aberdeenshire after it became a successful applicant of the UK Government’s Net Zero Hydrogen Fund (NZHF) Strand One.
