Splitwaters has agreed to provide EPC services for Akna Energy’s proposed 20MW green hydrogen plant in Louisiana, the US.
Expected to produce more than three million kilogrammes of green hydrogen per year, the facility is anticipated to be built and put into operation by late 2025.
H2 View understands Splitwaters will supply the electrolysers and be responsible for the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) of the plant, with Zentech Inc. acting as its engineering partner.
Akna Energy’s first project will be completed within budget and in a record timeline, according to its CEO, Paul Hudson, signifying the first plant of a network the company is planning to establish across the US.
