22 companies, 11 associations, technologies centres and universities this week formed the Spanish Hydrogen Network (SHYNE) to boost renewable hydrogen developments in Spain with a major €3.23bn investment.
Led by Repsol and believed to be the largest renewable hydrogen consortium in Spain, the group hopes to develop different initiatives for the production, distribution and use of renewable hydrogen across a variety of sectors.
With this, it is hoped that Spanish Hydrogen Network will reach an installed capacity of 500MW in 2025 and 2GW 2030, achieving half of the target set in the Spanish Government’s Hydrogen Roadmap.
