Two Spanish firms have announced plans to combine technologies to develop durable, cost-effective alkaline electrolyser technology.
Backed by €1.4m ($1.5m) of Spanish Government funding, Matteco has said it will supply its catalysts and electrodes to Ariema Enerxía for its alkaline electrolysers as they look to drive down green hydrogen costs.
Under the EMMA project, funded by the Spanish Government’s strategic recovery plan for Renewable Energy, Renewable Hydrogen and Storage (ERHA), the pair will look to integrate technologies to develop a more durable, cost-effective alkaline electrolyser.
