A new report published by Great South has revealed that Southland has the potential to meet the New Zealand Government’s net zero targets by 2050 with hydrogen mobility a key factor.
Th report “Net Zero Southland Report” outlines that transitioning heavy vehicle transportation from fossil fuels to hydrogen would result in significantly reducing carbon emissions whilst also projecting a key trend.
Within this key trend, electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle uptake in the light and heavy class will grow and become a booming industry in the region – boosting the economy.
