The Southeast Hydrogen Hub coalition has submitted a full application to the US Department of Energy (DOE) to develop a green hydrogen network.
The planned network is expected to span across six states and five major utilities and aims to assist in decarbonisation efforts in the Southeast.
The DOE has made $8bn available for the development of regional clean hydrogen hubs, as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). The Southeast Hydrogen Hub submitted concept papers last year, along with 78 others.
