South Korea’s LUPro to produce green ammonia in Oman for export to Southeast Asia

South Korea’s LUPro has agreed to produce one million tonnes of green ammonia per year with Muscat Investment House in Oman and export it to Thailand and Southeast Asia.

The facility, scheduled to be located in Duqm, will begin exporting ammonia volumes to Thailand in 2027, where it will be sold to other industrial users in Southeast Asia by Thai firm MA Corporation.

Initially, LUPro and Muscat House plan to produce one million tonnes of green ammonia per year and scale up to a total of five million tonnes over five years using a 2GW power generation facility to supply it to Thailand.
