South Holland will have 20 new hydrogen buses on its roads by the end of next year.
Public transport operator Connexxion, a branch of the Transdev Netherlands group, has ordered 20 Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen buses from Solaris Bus & Coach in a bid to ensure cleaner air in the province.
The hydrogen buses will be deployed in Hoekse Waard and Goeree-Overflakkee regions.
“Our roads are becoming busier and busier,” said Floor Vermeulen, Regional Minister for Traffic and Transport in South Holland province.
