Sonatrach and Tosyali to identify green steel opportunities in Algeria

Sonatrach and Tosyali will explore the feasibility of hydrogen production in Algeria which will be used for the development of green steel.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the two companies will undertake a feasibility study for Algerian-produced hydrogen using renewable energy sources.

H2 View understands that the green hydrogen produced will be used for manufacturing green steel at Tosyali’s Iron Steel Industry Algeria SPA complex.
