Solaris Bus & Coach has received the first order for its 18-metre hydrogen-powered buses from German-based Stadtwerke Aschaffenburg Verkehrs.
Under the agreement, Aschaffenburg will receive 10 Urbino 12-metre hydrogen units and two Urbino 18-metre hydrogen units for an undisclosed price.
The Urbino 12 units will be equipped with a 70kW set of fuel cells, while the Urbino 18 hydrogen buses boasts a 100kW fuel cell module, and both will be rolled out onto the streets of Germany by 2024.
