Solaris agrees to supply 19 hydrogen-powered buses to Essen, Germany

Solaris Bus & Coach has agreed to supply 19 hydrogen-powered buses to Ruhrbahm GmbH in Essen, Germany.

The order includes the delivery of nine Urbino 12 buses and 10 Urbino 18 models, expected to be delivered in 2024 and 2025.

The Urbino 12 model will use a 70kW hydrogen fuel cell, whilst the larger 18-meter buses will boast a 100kW fuel cell. Each vehicle will include ADAS safety systems, and a Solaris high power battery designed to support the fuel cell when demands are high.
