Wood has been selected to deliver a pre-FEED study for Shell’s Blue Horizons project in Oman.
The project is expected to produce low-carbon blue hydrogen and ammonia for local and international markets, whilst capturing and storing the CO2 produced.
As part of the pre-front-end engineering design (FEED), Wood will leverage global teams across the UK, Ireland, Italy, India and Oman to deliver the contract, which is anticipated to be completed next year (2025).
Wood has announced that it will use its CO2 and blue hydrogen expertise to design the production facility, marine facilities including ammonia storage, 200km pipeline and CO2 injection facility.
