Shell has confirmed it will receive 100MW of electrolysers from ITM Power, after its recent positive final investment decision (FID) on the Refhyne II project.
ITM’s TRIDENT stacks will produce up to 44,000kg of renewable hydrogen per day, while partially decarbonising fuel production at the Wesseling refinery at the Shell Rheinland Energy and Chemicals Park in Germany with grey hydrogen.
