In the expansion of hydrogen mobility infrastructure in Germany, Shell and H2 MOBILITY Deutschland have today (August 18) opened a hydrogen refuelling station in Wesseling, Cologne.
Located on the A555 in the industrial region of the city, the station will serve in a strategic location just off a direct Cologne to Bonn route, adding to further hydrogen stations in Cologne-Frechen and at Cologne-Bonn Airport.
Having received ‘at least’ €950,000 ($965,255) from the National Innovation Programme for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP) from the German Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV), for the construction of the station, H2 MOBILITY says the station uses ‘state-of-the-art’ technology from Linde.
