UK gas distribution company SGN has partnered with Oxford Flow to help verify the hydrogen-readiness of existing gas network infrastructure.
Later this year (2023), SGN’s LTS Futures project team will join forces with Oxford Flow’s field operatives to test samples of a decommissioned pipe at an industry research and testing facility in Spadeadam, Cumbria.
Oxford Flow is set to provide hydrogen-ready gas pressure regulators that will be used to stress test the pipeline with 100% hydrogen to verify the compatibility of the UK’s local transmission system (LTS) with the energy carrier.
