Germany’s SFC Energy has today (July 20) launched the manufacturing of its hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for stationary and mobile hybrid power solutions at its New Delhi/Guragaon site in India.
Launched in the presence of German Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Dr. Robert Habeck, the production facility was built alongside SFC’s partner FCTecNrgy in just over six months.
Expected to generate around €100m ($112m) of annual sales in the medium-term, the site comes in line with the Made in India initiative and is hoped to make a contribution to transitioning India to a cleaner economy.
