Severstal and Gazprom Neft have today (June 3) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and cooperation agreement for development of technologies and materials for the production, transportation, storage and use of hydrogen.
As part of the agreement, the two Russian companies intend to jointly pursue and develop opportunities and technologies for capturing and utilising carbon dioxide as well as using hydrogen in metallurgical production.
This also includes developing materials for its transportation and storage.
