Senator Brad Hawkins’ bill to promote hydrogen-powered vehicles in Washington state is now a state law.
Governor Jay Inslee signed the Senate Bill 5000, which establishes an eight-year state-wide pilot project for the reduction of sales tax on purchases of fuel cell electric vehicles, on Monday (3rd May).
The Senate passed the bill 49-0 in March and the House of Representatives approved it 93-4 in April.
