Offshore wind-to-hydrogen developments are at the heart of a new agreement inked today (Nov 29) between Seanovent Engineering and Strohm that aims to support a reliable, faster and cheaper energy transition.
Under plans of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the duo wants to develop hydrogen transfer solutions to improve the distributed green hydrogen concept, whereby green hydrogen is generated in each wind turbine generator and transported to shore via a subsea pipeline infrastructure.
Supporting the transportation aspect of the value chain, Strohm will use its thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) expertise to ensure a pipeline is suited for carrying pressurised hydrogen offshore and subsea.
