Schneider Electric has agreed to support Hy Stor Energy’s Mississippi Clean Hydrogen Hub (MCHH) with its management and automation solutions.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Schneider Electric will provide automation and safety services to the project, as it aims to deliver clean energy to the electrolysers.
Schneider Electric will now be the main automation and electrical contractor, and partner for digital energy management and automation solutions across all of Hy Stor’s operations.
The hub is expected to produce 110 million kilogrammes of hydrogen annually and store more than 70kg in underground salt caverns. The first phase is expected to enter commercial service next year, despite being one of the hubs to miss out on the US’ $7bn Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub awards.
