Saudi Arabia, a region renowned for its oil exports, plans to invest $180bn to reach net zero emissions by 2060 with hydrogen expected to be supported within this.
According to the BBC, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman revealed that the Gulf state will be investing significant funds to support decarbonisation of the region ahead of COP26 with the target of net zero emissions being backed with investment.
