Safra and Symbio, a subsidiary of Michelin and Faurecia, have unveiled great plans to develop 1,500 buses fitted with an optimised hydrogen system by the end of 2021.

Announcing the strengthened partnership on Tuesday (6th April), the companies said they hope to ramp up the roll out of a competitive hydrogen bus range and large-scale production for the purpose of international deployment.
The buses will be equipped with Symbio’s plug-and-play solution, designed specifically to meet the needs of this market segment. The technology, which is ready for mass production, will have a significant cost advantage and offer various other benefits that have been pre-approved to optimise system performance.
