SAF production plant announced for 2026 in the Humber

px Group and OXCCU will develop a CO2 and green hydrogen-based sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production plant in Hull, UK.

Located at Saltend Chemicals Park in the Humber, the facility will convert biogenic CO2 and green hydrogen into 160kgs of liquid fuel per day, the majority of which will be SAF.

OXCCU, the climate tech spin-out from the University of Oxford, demonstrated the “world’s first” direct CO2 hydrogenation process, turning CO2 directly into aviation fuel range hydrocarbons, with minimal oxygenate byproducts.
