RWE has partnered with UK-based energy infrastructure firm Kellas Midstream to explore the potential for large-scale green hydrogen production on Teesside in the northeast of the UK.
Under a freshly inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the companies will jointly progress opportunities for gigawatt-scale green hydrogen production on Teesside in a phased development, in line with customer demand.
The proposed site will be located near emerging hydrogen infrastructure in Teesside and is planned to leverage each company’s positions in energy infrastructure and renewables.
