Battery electric trucks currently operating in Germany will soon be equipped with Loop Energy’s eFlow™ hydrogen fuel cell modules to expand driving range capabilities.
The effort is part of a new agreement signed yesterday (23rd March) between the Vancour-based company and Rheintal-Transporte, a heavy-duty transportation solutions provider.
Under the agreement Rheintal will use the eFlow™ models to meet levels required by its fleet of long-haul cold-chain logistics vehicles.
To meet such criteria, Rheintal will order enough fuel cell modules for more than 20 hydrogen trucks and trailers. The order will be placed over the next 24 months.
