A new collaboration is set to explore and develop hydrogen technologies for green data centres in tropical climates in an effort to advance the sustainability of digital infrastructure.
Equinix and the Centre for Energy Research and Technology (CERT) at the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) College of Design and Engineering, have revealed they plan to launch a research project to compare the efficiency of PEM fuel cells and fuel-flexible linear generator technologies.
Despite PEM fuel cells coming as a leading contender for hydrogen-powered energy, fuel-flexible linear generators could enable an easier switch between various clean fuel options, including hydrogen and biogas.
