Renault to relaunch its Scenic with hydrogen powertrain

Renault announced on Thursday (May 19) plans to bring a hydrogen-powered family car to market by 2030.

The French car manufacturer unveiled its relaunched Scenic concept which is set to come in a completely electric version in 2024, before adding a hydrogen 16kW fuel cell in 2030.

Renault have claimed that by 2030, hydrogen refuelling infrastructure will be large enough, and its Scenic will have a range of up to 800km (497 miles), with a five-minute refuelling time.
