Rega Energy to supply green hydrogen for Crisal’s glass decarbonisation plans

Rega Energy will supply green hydrogen and oxygen to Leerdam Crisal Glass to support to decarbonisation of its glassware production in Portugal.

Under a long-term Renewable Gas Purchase Agreement, hydrogen and oxygen will be used at the Marinha Grande facility to increase the electrification of one of Crisal’s glass melting furnaces up to a maximum of 80% and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

The remaining natural gas consumption is expected to be gradually replaced by renewable gases supplied by Rega.
