US-based Raven SR has been awarded €1.4m ($1.5m) by the Spanish Government to build a waste-to-hydrogen facility in the country.
Having previously secured €1.7m ($1.8m) of European Commission funding, the 1,600-tonne-per-year plant is planned for Zaragoza in Spain’s Aragon region to serve mobility offtakers.
Using Raven’s non-combustion steam/carbon dioxide (CO2) reforming technology, the facility will process around 75 tonnes of organic solid waste per day to produce clean hydrogen.
