Raven SR’s inaugural waste-to-hydrogen plant to be powered by INNIO engines

Raven SR’s inaugural waste-to-hydrogen plant is set to be powered by the Austrian-Headquartered INNIO’s Jenbacher 60Hz engines, with a ‘ready for hydrogen’ option to produce renewable electricity.

INNIO revealed today (August 11) that the collaboration with Raven SR would see its engines power and heat the S-Series hydrogen production facility at the sanitary landfill site in Richmond, California, US.

The anticipated Richmond plant will use landfill gas (LFG) to power the Raven’s novel non-combustion process to produce hydrogen that will be sold to power fuel cells in heavy-duty trucks.
