Rampini to supply 10 hydrogen-powered buses to Vienna

Wiener Linien is set to replace its electric buses in Vienna’s city centre with 10 new battery-hydrogen buses supplied by Rampini.

Powered by a 230kW electric motor that draws energy from a 170kWh battery, the buses will be deployed on routes 2A and 3A in the Austrian capital.

The Rsmpini Hydro Range Extenders will be refuelled at a hydrogen filling station provided by Wien Energie and Wiener Netze, with green hydrogen locally produced in Vienna used.
