Quantron delivers five hydrogen-powered trucks to IKEA Austria

German zero-emission truck manufacturer Quantron has delivered five hydrogen fuel cell trucks to IKEA Austria.

Set to be fuelled with green hydrogen supplied by Wien Energie, the trucks are hoped to pave the way for IKEA to decarbonise its delivery operations.

Developed in collaboration with Ballard Power Systems, the 7.5-tonne Quantron QLI FCEV combines batteries, fuel cells and hydrogen storage tank to offer a range of over 500km per day.
