German-based Quantron AG and Norwegian Hydrogen AS have joined forces to undertake a five-year strategic collaboration to put hydrogen-powered trucks on Nordic roads.
As part of the collaboration, Norwegian Hydrogen has joined the Clean Transport Alliance, launched by Quantron, and will be the preferred supplier of hydrogen to the truck manufacturer in Nordic countries, including Norway, Iceland, Sweden and Finland.
Refuelling stations that will supply the company’s hydrogen will be operated by Norwegian Hydrogen’s newly founded subsidiary Vireon AS, which is hoped to support Quantron’s plans to offer its customers a comprehensive 360 service, ranging from vehicle procurement to infrastructure and supply (Quantron-as-a-service – QaaS).
