More green hydrogen opportunities are being studied in Queensland, Australia.
The news comes as QEM Limited today (15th March) said it is looking to produce hydrogen at its flagship Julia Creek vanadium and oil shale project by using a green solar-powered electrolyser.
Initially, it is hoped the produced hydrogen will be used as a support to the energy needs of other resources projects located in the North West Minerals Province of Queensland, but ultimately for the hydrogeneration of QEM’s raw oil into transport fuels.
To help such dreams become a reality, QEM has appointed E2C Advisory Pty Ltd to assist in its assessment of capital and operating costs. E2C has previously worked with QEM and has extensive experience in electrolysers used for hydrogen production.
