We understand the Philadelphia Eagles are keen advocates of clean energies and sustainability. Tell us about your own onsite clean power generation since 2013…
Norman Vossschulte (NV): We have been producing our own clean power onsite since 2013 through our GO GREEN Sustainability Programme. A micro-grid of over 10,500 solar panels have helped generate more than 24 million kilowatt hours, positioning Lincoln Financial Field to be among the greenest major sports facilities in the world.
Our sustainability journey actually began in 2003 with the opening of Lincoln Financial Field. Our leadership, spearheaded by Chairman and CEO, Jeffrey Lurie, looked at our first power bill and were blown away by the amount of energy we were consuming. On top of that, we host one of the biggest parties in the city every Sunday, so we generate an incredible amount of waste.
