Proton Motor to deliver HyCabinet unit to Swiss emergency power provider

Proton Motor Systems has received a follow-up order for its HyCabinet S16 unit equipped with a HyModule® S8 hydrogen fuel cell system.

Swiss customer H2tec made the follow-up order after two years of real-world testing and validation of its first system. The new unit will include an integrated master controller and voltage distribution.

H2tec acts as a full-service provider for fuel cell emergency power systems for the Swiss Road Administration, The Federal Roads Office (FEDRO), which operates 300 road tunnels across Switzerland.

The HyCabinet S16 will initially be equipped with one HyModule S8 for 8kW of power but can be upgraded with an additional, fully redundant HyModule S8 to provide 16kW.
