Proton Motor integrates fuel cell into university’s electrolysis plant

Proton Motor Fuel Cell’s HyModule S8 hydrogen fuel cell has been integrated into a containerised electrolysis plant at the University of Technology in Ulm, Germany.

Earlier this year, ostermeier H2ydrogen Solutions delivered the plant as part of a €3m ($3.2m) research project into hydrogen’s economic viability and fuel cell technology validation, located at the campus’ energy park.

H2 View understands that the scientists involved will demonstrate how fluctuations in the green power grid can be compensated for with hydrogen in the future. Ulm University of Applied Sciences members are “convinced of the ‘radiance’ of the energy park project for the energy transition.”
