Six gas transmission operators have launched a pre-feasibility to set up a hydrogen pipeline from Finland through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to Germany.
The Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor has been slated as a way to connect green energy production hubs in Northern Europe to high consuming Central Europe.
Germany predicts its 2030 hydrogen demand to reach 95-130TWh – foreseeing 50-70% being met by imports.
