Shell’s Vice-President for Hydrogen has told a H2 View Webinar that pragmatism is needed in policymaking that will shape the hydrogen landscape.
Joining H2 View’s Global Content Director, Rob Cockerill via the gasworld TV platform, Paul Bogers, Vice-President of Hydrogen at Shell told viewers that policy is one of the main points that is still restricting hydrogen from truly coming into fruition.
In the European context, he told viewers that the pursuit of perfection was hindering final investment decisions, saying, “We just have to get a pragmatic view on the delegated acts, that are holding back a lot of FIDs. We’ve been willing to take that first step, but I know that a lot of companies are waiting for the clarity to get the right investment climate.”
