PowerCell Sweden has established a subsidiary in China to “capture the opportunities” presented by Chinese efforts in fuel cell technology.
PowerCell Fuel Cell (Shanghai) will be located in Shanghai where the fuel cell stacks and systems developer and producer has begun recruitment of local employees.
Over the last couple of years, China has introduced big subsidies for vehicles that have been electrified using fuel cells. The country has also made major efforts within the field of fuel cell technology.
“China is at the forefront of the developments within the fuel cell technology and it is essential for PowerCell to be there and to capture the opportunities presented by the Chinese efforts,” Per Wassén, CEO of PowerCell said.
