PowerCell Sweden and Norwegian energy company Statkraft will cooperate on hydrogen and fuel cell energy solutions as part of a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The two companies announced the collaboration late last year (22nd Dec), unveiling plans to jointly examine the possibilities to use hydrogen and fuel cells to locally produce power and heat.
In a statement PowerCell, said, “The parties intend to examine the opportunities for stationary power generation for harbours, data centres and for isolated areas such as islands, but also for mobile power solutions, peak shaving and smart grid possibilities connected to renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power.”
No further information on the MoU was disclosed.
