Port of Gothenburg opens hydrogen refuelling station

The Port of Gothenburg has opened a 1,500kg-per-pay hydrogen refuelling station, supplying ‘exclusively’ green hydrogen to heavy-duty trucks.

Situated at the entrance of the port’s RoRo (roll-on, roll-off) terminal at Gate 6, the access road leading to the gate is said to be one of Sweden’s “most heavily trafficked roads” – with 400,000 heavy vehicles passing through each year.

Furthermore, with shipping firm Stena Line set to relocate its German and Danish terminals adjacent to the RoRo terminal, the port anticipates even more traffic in the area.
