Port of Corner Brook to host 5GW CWP green hydrogen and iron hub

CWP Global will explore the development of a green hydrogen hub in Canada after agreeing to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Corner Brook Port Corporation (CBPC).

Project Gwinya will harness up to 5GW of wind energy to produce green hydrogen and green iron at the Port of Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The hub will boast a hot briquetted iron (HBI) plant which is expected to create significant long-term benefit to the province through local economic activity and new jobs.
